Photos of PV Installations
3kWp system, house, London
The 3kWp system is giving a large input towards electrical costs, and with looking at appliances, lighting etc, the householder has managed to cut down his electrical need by many kilowatts. And by replacing the old fridges in the basement, can save a suprising amount of power.

Tamworth School
This is one of our first jobs, a school near Croydon who had a large PV system
fitted on a triangular frame on the wall above the windows. The array measures 30 metres and gives an output of 4.8kWp (kilowatt peak).
The school also had a solar thermal system fitted on the flat roof above the boiler room which heats their hot water.

Bromsgrove Council Building
A 4.8kWp PV system installed at the council offices in Bromsgrove near Birmingham. The system consists of 4 x 1.2kWp arrays mounted on a frame that suspends the panels a few inches from the roof to allow airflow under the panels. It measures 16m by 2.6m. There is a large display panel in the public area to show how much power is being produced by the system.
Caddsdown Council Building, Devon
The main structure for this 3.6kWp PV system was built onto the structure of the new council building in Bideford, Devon. The cross supports and panels added afterwards using a 80' reach cherry picker for mounting the whole system. Each array faces a different direction so there are 3 inverters to convert the current from DC to AC. This is so that there is no loss in performance when the sun is not on one shade quite as much as the others.
House PV system, Swansea Valley
A 3kWp system will give the householder a very good contribution to her electricity. A very energy conscious house, with solar thermal installed as well, and wood burning heat sources in the kitchen, lounge and front room. 60-70% of the Hot water in the house will also be heated by the sun.
3kWp House PV system, Rhondda Valley
A 3 kWp system, providing approx 2400kWh per year to the householder. The system was designed to use as much space on the roof as possible, even with the dorma window being present.
7.5kWp House PV system, Carmarthenshire

It was requested that we design the largest size system we could fit on both the workshop and the house roof. The system size of 7.5kWp of roof integrated PV panels will provide approx 6000kWh a year of electricity, with the excess able to be sold back to the grid. The client also had a Solar thermal system integrated into the house roof, which will provide all of his hot water over the summer, and a good proportion over the winter.
2.75kWp House PV system, Oxfordshire
The customer already had a solar thermal system and wanted as much PV as would fit on his available roofs. We designed a 2.75kWp system split between the pitched roof and the flat roof of the extension. There are two inverters, one for each system, to allow for the difference in angle between the systems. This system will produce around 2200kWh a year.
